When did you first begin serving on the Board of Directors
?  1998

Currently, Mr. Carter serves as Chairman of the Board.  Those responsibilities began in the spring of 2001. 

Education:  Graduating from Anna-Jonesboro High School, Mr. Carter continued his education at Eastern Illinois University.  There, he received his Bachelor’s degree in Education.  Later, he attained his Master’s degree from Southern Illinois University. 

Current Employment:  Pharmaceutical Sales 

Community Involvements:  Union County Hospital District Board member, Community Health Service Advisory Board member, membership at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the past President and Secretary of the Anna District #37 School Board.

David Pearce

Name:  David Pearce

Current Residence:  East Cape Girardeau

When did you first begin serving on the Board of Directors?  2001

Education: 
After graduating from Shawnee High School, Mr. Pearce continued his education at Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky.

Current Employment:  Mr. Pearce has been in business for himself since 1979.  His experience has ranged from the hospitality industry, restaurant ownership, nightclub ownership, real estate and insurance sales and the direct sales industry.

Interesting Facts: 
Mr. Pearce has served on the boards of several not-for-profit corporations. 

Community Involvements:  Cairo Masonic Lodge member, K.I.M. Shrine Club member, Ainad Shrine Temple member, Honorable order of Kentucky Colonels member, Cairo Elks Lodge member, recognition in Who’s Who in American Business, and Platinum Presidential Director with the National Companies

Donald Rich

When did you first begin serving on the Board of Directors?  Spring 1988 

Current Employment:  Owning and operating his own farm in Union County  

Interesting Facts:  Mr. Rich is currently the longest serving, active board member.

Community Involvements:  Union County Farm Bureau member, Union County Cattleman Association member, and member of St. John’s Lutheran Church 

Mr. Rich says, “Being one of the oldest banks in Union County is highly respectable.  With the two easy and convenient locations, it is a definite plus for our customers.”

 

Wesley Wright

Name:  Wesley Wright

Children:  Brandon & Casie 

Current Residence:  Anna, Illinois 

When did you first begin serving on the Board of Directors?  2001 

Education:  Mr. Wright graduated from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale with a Bachelor’s degree in 1974.  He also did post-graduate work in Reproductive Physiology. 

Current Employment:  Pharmaceutical Sales with Merial Ltd. (A Merk-Aventis Company) as a Senior Sales Representative 

Interesting Facts:  Mr. Wright has been involved in the animal health industry for over 20 years. 

Community Involvements:  Union County Economic Development Board member, Union County Country Club member, Ducks Unlimited member, Shawnee College Foundation Board member, member and former Deacon of the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Anna. 

Mr. Wright says, “It’s all about the people doing business with people that care about them.  FNBJ is the leader in supporting community activities.  We provide a pleasant and friendly atmosphere for all the people we serve.”

 

 

Phil Hileman

Name:  Phil Hileman

When did you first begin serving on the Board of Directors?  1989 

Education:  Graduate of Southern Illinois University with a Bachelor’s degree in Mortuary Science 

Current Employment:  Owner and operator of Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro, Illinois 

Interesting Facts:  Mr. Hileman has worked in the field of mortuary science since 1973, and in 1981 bought Norris & Son Funeral Home where he began his career. 

Community Involvements:  President of the Salem Lutheran Church Council, Union County Country Club member, active Bethany Village Board member, director for the St. John’s Cemetery Board 

Mr. Hileman says, “The staff at FNBJ always seems to be going the extra mile for the customers.  I believe having the two offices, one in Anna and another in Jonesboro, is a big plus.  The wide range of products and services is an added bonus for our customers.”

 

Mike Meisenheimer

Name:  Mike Meisenheimer

Current Residence:  Jonesboro, Illinois 

When did you first begin serving on the Board of Directors?  1991 

Education:  After graduating from Anna-Jonesboro Community High school, Mr. Meisenheimer continued his education at Shawnee Community College, obtaining an Associates degree.  Later, he transferred to Eastern Illinois University, obtaining his Bachelor’s degree in business management and marketing. 

Current Employment:  Insurance agent for Country Insurance and owner of Jonesboro Autosource 

Interesting Facts:  Mr. Meisenheimer actually began his career with Country Insurance and Financial services, and has been an agent with the company for more than 28 years. 

Community Involvements:  Treasurer for the Union County Fair Board, Shawnee Community College Foundation Board member, Illinois Racking Horse Board member, also involved with the Racking Horse Breeders Association of America 

Mr. Meisenheimer says, “FNBJ, for the past 110 years, has helped several generations of Union County residents achieve and obtain their goals by providing a great banking facility.  FNBJ has helped many people purchase homes, farms, vehicles, start businesses, and further their educational goals.  At the same time, they have provided a place for others to safely save their money and earn interest.”

 

Scott Wilkins

When did you first begin serving on the Board of Directors?  1990 

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from William Jewell College 

Current Employment:  Bank President/CEO with the First National Bank of Jonesboro 

Interesting Facts:  Mr. Wilkins actually began his career with FNBJ in 1982, attaining the position of President in 1989.  He has served as a bank president longer than any other bank president in the Anna-Jonesboro area. 

Community Involvements:  Shawnee Community College Foundation Board member, President of the Union County Economic Board of Directors, Treasurer of the Illinois Racking Horse Association, Ducks Unlimited committee person, Illinois Bankers Association committee person and is also involved with the American Bankers Association 

Mr. Wilkins says, “[FNBJ is the best bank in Union County because of] two very simple words, ‘We Care.’  We make every effort possible to treat our customers the way we want to be treated.  It is very important for us to show our customer how special he or she is to The First National Bank of Jonesboro.”
